Discontinuing Support for the OMS Credit Card Module

On January 1, 2024, we will support the OMS/Pavo Payment Module and the OMS Credit Card Module will no longer be supported.

Beginning on January 1, 2024, the OMS Credit Card Module will no longer be supported in favor of the OMS/Pavo Payment Module. Master System makes no guarantee or will support the OMS Credit Card Module after the end-of-life date.

Why is the OMS Credit Card Module being discontinued?

We are making advancements in strengthening security features for payments, and can begin to offer payments beyond credit card payments. To ensure that we maintain support and stability across all of OMS, we will no longer support earlier iterations of payments.

This includes the OMS Credit Card Module that is linked to Authorize.net, PayPal, PayTrace, and VeriSign.

Authorize.net

The OMS Credit Card Module is integrated to Authorize.net using the SOAP API, which is marked deprecated. Authorize.net is in the process of phasing out this implementation at a later date.

What impact does this have on the OMS Credit Card Module?

If your company currently uses OMS to process payments, there is no immediate impact on your ability to handle payments using OMS. However, if payment gateways begin having breaking security updates or additional authentication methods, we will not provide updates to support these features.

What's the solution?

The updated OMS/Pavo Payment Module utilizes Pavo, the online connection system exclusively used with OMS. Pavo is our future plan to process payments in OMS, including integrations to third party payment gateways.

The new OMS/Pavo Email Module requires a subscription to the Pavo Standard plan, which includes features such as payments, shipping, and emailing from OMS. Please contact us if your company is looking to continue process payments using OMS.
