Technical Requirements (On-Premise)

The requirements to have OMS installed.

For on-premise installations of OMS, your server must meet the minimum technical requirements. 

If your server does not meet these requirements, it will result in the delay of the go-live date. The team at Master System may not be able to service or investigate issues if the requirements are not met.

OMS Server Requirements

OMS will require installation of Microsoft SQL Server and Windows. 

Workstations that access OMS must be under the same internal network and Windows Domain as the server where OMS is installed. 

Microsoft SQL Server Database

The Express Edition has a limit of 10 GB of storage and performance limitations. If you anticipate having more than 10 GB of data, we highly recommend the Standard Edition.

Supported Operating Systems

If you are using a Windows domain, Windows Server Standard or Datacenter Editions are required.

Microsoft .NET Framework

Recent versions of Windows and Windows Server include compatible versions of .NET Framework. The OMS installer will check to determine if a compatible version of .NET Framework is present.

Server Hardware

Do not use Wi-Fi or wireless connections as it can lead to server instability.

If you will be installing on a virtual machine

The physical host server must have the following hardware memory requirements:

• • • Minimum 32 GB DDR4 memory (RAM)

• • • Minimum 100 GB NVMe SSD disk

The guest operating system with the Microsoft SQL Server database installed must be allocated with a minimum of 32 GB of memory (RAM) and 100 GB of storage.
