When connecting your email address to Pavo, you may encounter errors during the connection process. Learn about how Pavo connects to your Microsoft 365 account and how to address issues that may occur.
This is only applicable to OMS accounts that have the application configured to use Pavo's email service. OMS applications that use Outlook, Outlook Express, or an SMTP connection to Microsoft 365 will need to be upgraded to the Pavo email service.
Configure your Microsoft 365 permissions
Pavo uses the Graph API for Microsoft 365 to connect to your email address. Pavo will require the following scopes in order to connect:
- user.read
- mail.send.shared
- mail.readwrite.shared
Your Microsoft 365 administrator will need to provide your account permissions in order to connect to Pavo.
Connecting to the wrong account
When authenticating, if Pavo connects to an incorrect email address, make sure you are logged into the correct Microsoft 365 account.
If this happens, sign out of your account on the Office 365 homepage, and make sure to sign out of all Office services. You may need to restart your browser, and sign in again to the correct account.
Need Admin Approval
If you see the error that your Microsoft 365 administrator needs to approve Pavo to be installed, your administrator has configured restrictions on your Azure Active Directory environment.
Your admin will need to update user consent settings in Azure's documentation.
