SKU Mappings

If you have multiple SKUs that represent the same product or do not follow our convention, perform a SKU Mapping on Pavo.

SKU Mappings are a way to tell Pavo that a certain SKU on a channel corresponds to a specific SKU on OMS/Pavo.

If you list the same product on multiple channels with different SKUs, you will need to perform a mapping on Pavo so it knows which SKU it corresponds with.

Why do I need to do a SKU Mapping?

A brand sells a product on their Shopify site as well as Amazon Seller Central. The SKU on Shopify is "ABC123" and on Amazon it's "ABC-123".

The SKU on OMS is known as the item number "ABC123". If the SKU mapping is not performed on Pavo, Amazon orders with SKU "ABC-123" will be created on OMS as an unknown item. To make sure that Pavo knows that "ABC-123" is the item "ABC123", the brand will need to let Pavo know that these two SKUs are the same.

How do I get started with SKU Mapping?

SKU Mapping is dependent on which type of OMS System you are running. If you do not know what system your company is using, please contact us or consult your administrator.

Automatic SKU Mapping

In certain scenarios, items from sales channels will be automatically mapped if they follow the convention provided.

For General Merchandise: The item number on OMS must be the SKU listed on the site to automatically perform mapping.

For Size/Run: The SKU on the sales channel must be in the following format:

**Each color and size must have a unique SKU

If a UPC is provided on the sales channel: Some channels will provide a UPC on the order. If automatic SKU mapping fails, then Pavo will attempt to match the UPC from the channel with the UPCs in OMS/Pavo.

Manual SKU Mapping

To upload SKU mappings manually to Pavo, you can add it one at a time, or in bulk.

To upload a single item:

  1. Login to the Pavo Admin Portal
  2. Navigate to Channels > your e-commerce channel
  3. Select the "SKU Mapping" tab
  4. Click on the "Add New Mapping" button or edit an existing mapping
    1. You will need to provide the Channel's SKU and the corresponding Item Number, Color, Prepack, or Size (if Prepack is "X").

To upload in bulk:

  1. Login to the Pavo Admin Portal
  2. Navigate to Channels > your e-commerce channel
  3. Select the "SKU Mapping" tab
  4. Click on the "Import" button
  5. Upload a CSV file with the following headers:
    1. Channel SKU: The SKU from the channel
    2. OMS Item Number
    3. Color: only applicable for size/run systems
    4. Run: only applicable for size/run systems
    5. Size: only applicable for size/run systems
  6. Pavo can provide the format if you click "Export" before importing.
