When Pavo cannot access OMS Clarion Server

Pavo can provide limited services when OMS Clarion Server is inaccessible.

This does not apply to OMS Cloud configurations.

OMS Clarion Server connects your OMS system and data to the Pavo service. When OMS Clarion Server is offline, several services will have limited availability.

Installation and maintenance of OMS Clarion Server requires coordination by the Master System team and your own IT Team. As your company is the owner and operator of the server that hosts OMS and its data, it is your responsibility to ensure OMS Clarion Server remains online.

OMS Clarion Server is the data bridge between OMS and Pavo

Pavo services will use the last known sync with OMS

In general, data such as products, customers, orders, and invoices will not be synced when OMS Clarion Server is inaccessible. As Pavo relies on OMS to send data as it is updated on OMS, this data may not be sent over in real-time.

In general, Pavo services will continue operating with the last known data sync with OMS Clarion Server.

Each Pavo service will be highlighted below.

Pavo Shipping and Email

These services do not use OMS Clarion Server.

Pavo Payments

Payment Links & Hosted Invoices and Sales Orders Pages

  • Payment links can continue to be sent on OMS and Pavo. If the link is generated in Pavo, Pavo only has sales order and invoice data before OMS Clarion Server went offline.
  • If your customer pays with the payment link, OMS will not mark the payment as successful and Pavo will return an unsuccessful payment to the customer.

Payment in Pavo Admin Portal

  • Outstanding invoices and sales orders will display up until the last sync between OMS and Pavo.
  • Creating payments will not succeed as OMS will not mark the payment as successful.
  • You will be able to add and modify credit card payment methods within the Pavo Admin portal.

Payment in OMS Credit Card Module

  • Payments in the OMS Credit Card Module will continue to operate.

Pavo B2B

Your website will remain active and accessible. However, data such as quantity, products, and pricing will only have up until the last sync between OMS and Pavo. Product collections, banners, registrations, and the shopping cart will remain accessible.

Once a new user registers on the Pavo B2B site, you will not be able to approve the customer if it is not an existing customer already in OMS. New customers cannot be created while the OMS Clarion Server is inaccessible.

If users attempt to place an order, the order may receive a failed attempt to place the order. Pavo will save a draft of the order, and attempt to place the order with OMS periodically until the OMS Clarion Server is accessible.

Pavo Sales Rep Portal

Sales reps will not be able to log into the portal while the OMS Clarion Server is inaccessible.

Pavo Integrations

Pavo will continue to sync orders from connected sales channels while OMS Clarion Server is inaccessible. Depending on the sales channel, Pavo will attempt to save the order to OMS periodically. Inventory and invoice/shipment uploads may not be operational while OMS Clarion Server is not accessible.

Once OMS Clarion Server is accessible

Depending on the Pavo service your company has, Pavo will make several attempts to check if OMS Clarion Server is online. Once Pavo recognizes the server is back online, Pavo will attempt to resend all information it has pending, and fetch all missing data from OMS since the time OMS Clarion Server was marked inaccessible.
