An explanation of how Pavo connects to your OMS ERP system with OMS Clarion Server.
OMS Clarion Server is a service built by the Master System team to communicate with Pavo for data generated by both Pavo and OMS ERP.
Bridge between OMS and Pavo
OMS Clarion Server is a data access and receiver between OMS and Pavo. It takes advantage of Microsoft SQL Server features to ensure that data is transmitted to Pavo in real-time when you make changes to your data on OMS. When there is activity on Pavo, such as an order placed on the Sales Rep Portal or a payment is made, Pavo will notify OMS of the updated activity through the OMS Clarion Server.
OMS Clarion Server updates automatically
If your OMS Clarion Server is configured and set up with the proper administrative access, it will update on its own as our team develops new features or makes improvements. Some features may require an OMS change on its own as it will affect the OMS Desktop applications.
Maintenance is handled by your own team or IT provider
As OMS Clarion Server is installed on your company's server, your company must ensure that it remains online and active. Our team will assist in setting up OMS Clarion Server during onboarding, but once connected, your team will need to make sure it is operational and Pavo can connect to it.
If your company makes any changes to this server, such as new hardware, software updates, or administrative password changes, make sure OMS Clarion Server remains operational after the changes. Our team can provide guidance on what your team needs to consider when making changes.
This does not apply to OMS Cloud configurations.
Limited Access when OMS Clarion Server is inaccessible
As Pavo relies on OMS Clarion Server to read and write data to OMS, many services have limited availability when it is offline. Learn more about what happens when OMS Clarion Server is offline here.
